"The .NET Training Program by Setfocus tackled almost all of the core technologies needed for a .NET Developer role. To be honest I think the .NET Training Program is perfect for those wanting to land that Entry-level to junior/mid-level .NET jobs. Aside from the .NET training, the career development workshops were instrumental really in getting me ready for job interviews. Definitely [would recommend SetFocus to others]. The .NET Training Program has helped me a lot. I was a nobody with a college degree from another country when I started looking for jobs. I had no references that could entice employers to check me out. Taking the SetFocus training program though changed that for me. Now I have legitimate references that are just a phone call or email away (not a country away). I have updated skills that are relevant in the job market. And because of that I landed a job just weeks after my graduation. If it worked for me, it should also work for someone else.

"I will be working as an "IT Healthcare Programmer Analyst." As I understand it, I will be developing data marts and reporting services for a major client. In addition, I will be doing data extracts to support a statistical research group. The fundamental skills required are with SAS and Business Intelligence, but I may be using SQL Server as well. It's an ideal position to get up to speed on my newly-acquired BI skills. I thank you and SetFocus for that."

"As for the program itself, the experience I gained has helped to pave the way for my entire career. I am on my second job since graduating from the .NET Master's Program and love what I am doing. I am in an awesome work environment and actually working on applications that help other make a difference in peoples lives. So in that regard, my current work is very rewarding. Without the skills I learned at SetFocus, I would not be where I am today. When I came to SetFocus, I had no prior IT experience...just a degree. Since graduating, I have completed two fully functional websites from the ground up...all using the core skills learned while in the program, as well as learning new skills that come with experience in a production environment.
I know that I am the one that made it happen...I was the one that went through the program and put in the late hours studying and working on projects; but again, without SetFocus, I would not be on the career path I am on today. Words cannot express the lifelong gratitude that I will have for being accepted into the program and being given the chance to display the talent that I knew I had. Again, thanks to all the SetFocus staff that made this possible for me.

"The class was great. The final project really allowed us to get to know each other. There should be MORE group projects in future classes. It teaches you to look at other people's code and decipher what they're trying to accomplish. A good real-life experience. The BIG thing about career development that helped me was the PRESENTATION SLIDE SHOW (PowerPoint / PDF). When I presented it (on CD) to the interviewer at my first interview, they said, "no one else has provided code samples of their work". I sincerely feel that the CD's contents GOT ME THE JOB ! Although I cannot specifically recall being told this by career development.....they should tell the graduates to PROVIDE A CD OF THEIR SLIDE-SHOW PRESENTATION TO THE INTERVIEWER."

"I would like to take the time to compliment you on your staff that SetFocus employs I am very pleased with this program thus far.
John Woll is a very knowledgeable instructor and is thorough in his teaching methods. He makes sure that everyone understands the subject and answer questions needed or re explains another way if needed. If we are pressed for time he always follows up during a break, after class, through email or a phone call on his own time. If there is a question brought up and he is unsure of the answer he does the research and always follows up. He really enjoys what he is doing and he passes the enthusiasm on to the class.
Alexa House stayed in constant prior to class starting giving constant support to get through all the prerequisites required prior to enrollment. Upon passing the prerequisites she helped me get in contact with the people needed in order for me to have all the materials I needed for class that was a week away. She emailed so much information for me to read and go over explaining about SetFocus, The Grid, The Master’s Program, testimonials, and anything and everything that Set Focus has to offer. Since class has started she still does follow up to see how I am doing in class and if I have any other questions or comments that need addressed.
I have been to a couple different colleges and in my opinion SetFocus is by far the better of the colleges I have attended. SetFocus’s personnel treat you like a family instead of just another person taking a class. So far everyone that I have dealt with at SetFocus has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help out. When it is time for me to deal with Career development I am very confident that the same will be done there as well.
