"Reggie" Web Site Security Enhancements
- Added security to the "Reggie" website which included an initial login page and user validation for each page that a user accesses.
- Project utilized Coldfusion, Com+ components (written in Visual Basic), and accessed a SQL Server Database. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) was also utilized to ensure that all user data and class information is protected.
AOL Registration Pages
- Developed registration pages using HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, Com+ Components (written in Visual Basic), and accessed a SQL Server Database.
- These pages allowed AOL employees to view and register for New Horizons classes over the internet.
Siemens Registration Pages
- Developed registration pages using ColdFusion, JavaScript, , SQL Server stored procedures, and Com+ components (written in Visual Basic).
- This project allowed Siemens employees to request a registration for a class over the internet. Customer Service Representative were able to view the request and either accept the request or deny it depending on the data entered in by the student.
MAPMS Development and Enhancements
- Supported an Access database with linked tables into a SQL Server database, which allowed Customer Service Representatives to enter student and classes information, and view all client information.
- This project included bug fixing and maintaining the underlying SQL Server Database to ensure that all queries ran effectively (which included adding triggers for cascading deletes, stored procedures, and indexes).
SetFocus, LLC (Parsippany, NJ) Developer in Training 2/01 - 5/01
- Developed a solid understanding of object oriented design and analysis for enterprise wide client/server and Internet application development in N-Tiered environments.
- Created complex business components using COM dynamic link libraries and implemented them in a multi-tier environment using Microsoft Transaction Server to address application infrastructure issues associated with building scalable applications that are used by many clients.
- Implemented business and data services through the use of ActiveX Data Objects as well as other data access technologies from the middle tier to manipulate a Microsoft SQL Server Database through the use of stored procedures.
- Executed a database solution through modern database management techniques including: data modeling using Entity Relationship Diagramming, designing table structures, implementing referential integrity constraints, building stored procedures, rules, indexes, and domain constraints.
- Exploited enterprise Web strategies using HTML, DHTML, ASP, VB Script, and Java Script to address issues involved in creating a web presence with interactive content as a viable e-business solution.
Hands on project work:
- Developed an N-tiered "Library System" application entailing designing and building a client side application with a GUI implementation based in Visual Basic. Distributing the business objects on an application server and accessing the remote objects using MTS. Implementing a scalable web-enabled application that accessed business objects on a Microsoft Transaction Server. The Web User Interface was created through the execution of COM components using ASP and HTML. All of the application data was persisted in a data source, using Microsoft SQL Server.
