Master's Program Alumnus Granted Coveted Award
Karl Shifflett, 2002 SetFocus Master's Program Graduate, Awarded Code Project MVP
Parsippany, NJ — January 9, 2008 —
Today SetFocus announced that Karl Shifflett, a Master’s Program Graduate and .NET Architect, has been granted the highly coveted Code Project MVP Award. This honor comes only a day after receiving another esteemed prize as first place winner in the Community Credit competition.
Both the Code Project (www.codeproject.com) and Community Credit (www.communitycredit.com) are online communities where developers can exchange and learn the latest and most pertinent industry information. The Code Project is a network of Visual Studio .NET developers with common goals: to learn, teach, and enjoy the world of programming. Developers from all over the world gather to share source code, tutorials and knowledge for free to help their fellow programmers. Over 3.5 million people read and use The Code Project each month; and, of the millions, Karl was one of 40 to receive the impressive MVP award.
Community Credit is a website through which developers can contribute to the world of computing, as well. The site is dedicated to independent work and enables users to reach a vast amount of people in this specific target demographic. Karl competed with developers from across the globe for the Community Credit prize and was awarded a Hydrogen Generating Car for his efforts.
Karl trained in the SetFocus .NET Master’s Program in 2003 and was soon certified as an MCAD. He currently works as a programmer for emGovPower. He also works on a significant amount of personal projects, his latest being his partnership with Josh Smith and Andrew Smith to create a Visual Studio visualizer called Mole.
