Companies that provide web hosting services are beginning to upgrade their infrastructures to cope with Microsoft's recent release of the latest version of its .NET framework.
Radic Davydov, the owner of midsized hosting firm ReliableSite, says that "our customers have always expected us to be agile and ready to adopt new technologies. From the moment ASP.NET 4 was in beta, we had customers requesting it. [Thursday's] announcement underscores the notion that we are serious about rapidly deploying the latest in technologies to our customers." The company says that it will offer a range of .NET 4.0-compatible server options, including dedicated and semi-dedicated servers.
IT professionals and .NET developers are also moving to take advantage of the new features present in .NET 4.0, which focus heavily on making web content more dynamic, easily accessible, and customizable by both .NET developers and end users.
IT professionals with high-quality .NET training will only become more valuable as employees, given the widespread use of Microsoft's .NET framework and its increasing importance to enterprise IT departments.
