IT professionals putting their .NET training to use could find their jobs getting easier with the release of Infragistics' new NetAdvantage software, which could allow them to build powerful, easy-to-use user interfaces for apps created using .NET.
The company says that the main selling point for its new product is the ability to interface with Windows 7, providing support for multitouch input and side-by-side hosting capability for applications built using Windows Forms.
The company's director of product management, Jason Beres, says that "this year, we will deliver three volumes of NetAdvantage for .NET in order to bring to market components that leverage the VS2010 RTM. Our aggressive roadmap proves our commitment to increasing the breadth and depth of every toolset while maintaining the best speed and performance the market has to offer."
The product will also provide enhanced functionality for several other Microsoft programming frameworks, including Silverlight, ASP.NET, and Windows Project Format, the company says. NetAdvantage will cost just under $1,200, or $1,690 with the purchase of a priority support contract.
