Kentico Software
recently announced the release of Kentico CMS 5.5, its updated web content management solution that provides full support for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.

The new version of the software was created in response to the release of .NET Framework 4.0 in April. The main updates in Kentico 5.5 were implemented to be able to leverage the power of the newest edition of .NET Framework.

Michal Neuwirth, product manager at Kentico Software explained that the company updated the program to implement "several improvements that were demanded by our customers" after the release of Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4.0.

Developers expect the updated software to have an immediate effect upon release. Kentico Software CTO Martin Hejtmanek said "the goal of the new version is to allow developers to use Kentico CMS with Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0 immediately after its release, so that they can leverage all enhancements in the latest version of Microsoft .NET platform."

The release of .NET Framework 4.0 has opened opportunities for developers in the industry as a response. Other companies have introduced new software to access the updated .NET Framework, including the recently released Delphi Prism 2011 developed by Embarcadero Technologies.
