Microsoft updates commonly used SQL Server tools

Tech giant Microsoft released preview versions of several updated SQL Server modeling tools earlier this month, allowing those with SQL Server training to get better acquainted with the new systems before their general release, according to Softpedia.
The software news site reported that "the re-release of the November 2009 CTP of SQL Server Modeling CTP Nov 2009 Release 2 is offered for developers that are testing the most recent development milestone of Visual Studio and .NET Framework. In February, Microsoft launched Visual Studio 2010 Release Candidate and .NET Framework 4 RC, which continue to be up for grabs."
IT professionals can use the CTP versions of new software both to explore its possible use to their enterprise and to discover potential difficulties in implementation or functionality, experts say.
Microsoft has updated and re-released products quite frequently in recent months, and the news that a new version of its Office productivity suite and SharePoint 2010 are set for release next month seems to indicate that the company has no plans to slow down any time soon.
