Microsoft pushing complete adoption of newly released products

Microsoft has advised customers that adopting Office 2010, SharePoint 2010 and the newest version of its SQL server together will help the programs run with optimum performance, according to ZDNet. Companies that use the three items will likely implement them all in the near future. As the IT job market continues to grow, substantial Microsoft training will help IT professionals stand out to these companies.

Microsoft has done this before, according to ZDNet, but it has not marketed the products by encouraging complete adoption as heavily as it is now following previous releases. Using the programs separately doesn't necessarily limit their capability, however, they are designed to perform best when they run together.

In fact, to make the three items work together even better, Microsoft realigned its development teams by moving members of the Excel development team to SharePoint's group to encourage the integration.

SharePoint, specifically, has become an increasingly popular application in a number of industries. In recent weeks, professional sports teams have touted their implementation of SharePoint, while IT Business Edge Canada reports that several companies in Calgary, Alberta have listed positions for experienced SharePoint developers.
