Fpweb.net recently announced that Microsoft SharePoint 2010 is now available for use on its website. The company hosts SharePoint for organizations that want to use the software without handling the installation and support of the program.

The program will not be released until May 12, but it can be used now on Fpweb.net's website from $995 per month. Companies that have been hesitant to use applications based in cloud computing can be reassured as Fpweb.net's engineers have worked with SharePoint for more than six months. According to the company, its IT professionals reported several bugs to Microsoft prior to SharePoint's recent release to manufacturing.

"My team worked relentlessly on SharePoint 2010 and the day we've been anxiously anticipating is finally here," CEO of Fpweb.net, Rob LaMear, said. "This is Microsoft's biggest release of SharePoint to date and we're so honored to be first in the world to host it."

TechTarget recently reported that among the best new features for the program is the ability to build tools that can be used on multiple platforms and machines. An organization's SharePoint developer can use their time more efficiently while providing an organization with better tools.
