In a move the company says will open its growing app ecosystem to the community of .NET developers, Intel recently launched a new software development kit for .NET applications for its AppUp developer program.
The new .NET kit joins Intel’s support for other platforms as part of AppUp. The program launched with initial support for C/C++ applications, but Intel added support for AIR applications in August.
"By integrating Intel's .NET SDK for AppUp into their applications, developers can submit their .NET apps for distribution and sales via the AppUp Center stores," Intel Community Manager Bob Duffy said in a blog post.
Intel also said the addition of the software development kit will give consumers more applications that leverage the .NET development framework.
AppUp is a hub that provides developers with tools to easily develop and sell applications for the Intel AppUp center. The program offers SDKs, easy deployment and validation, a developer catalog for application components, application labs and an online community for support.
