Improved software helps IT professionals keep up with changes

Networking company F5 Networks recently announced enhanced capabilities to its applications to help its customers with evolving technologies on Microsoft systems.

Specifically, the improved applications bring new tools to help IT professionals develop virtualization and cloud computing systems on Microsoft platforms. The introduction of these new technologies has opened up new issues as information technology tries to adapt. Some of the tools available through the applications include reconfiguration of network traffic and component level visibility for SharePoint developers.

Calvin Rowland, vice president of application partner programs at F5, said that the new product is "enhancing organizations' abilities to control and manage dynamic IT services" because the new applications allow IT employees "to make more effective, timely, and intelligent decisions regarding resource utilization and provisioning."

He added that "the joint solutions stemming from this partnership enable customers to more readily harness the power of on-demand IT."

F5's enhancements to its networks come as a result of new developments in virtualization as well as Microsoft SharePoint opening new questions in the information technology field. Other companies, like Stone Bond Technologies, have extended the capabilities of their software to help with new problems that may arise.
